Bill Burby Inspirational 10K & 5K Fun Runs & 5K Walk

The Bill Burby Inspirational 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk celebrates 33 years!  The race/walk is a family affair and a Strawberry Festival tradition.

Bill Burby was a beloved teacher and coach at Vashon Island High School and an inspiration to many. The race honors his dedication to Island youth sports and healthy life choices.

Your support of the race helps support Vashon Island High School athletic teams and provides a college scholarship to a deserving Island high school senior through the Community Scholarship Fund.

The board of the Bill Burby Race honors Vashon Island Junior Basketball (VIJB) for providing many years of sports opportunities for island youth. This organization embodies the spirit of Bill Burby and his passion for health, fitness and sportsmanship.
